To think-
Red and pink.
.
It’s already here-
The color scheme is clear.
.
To come in all shapes and sizes-
Stuff we expect, and many surprises.
.
Hearts, candy boxes, and all types of
things-
Including flowers, trinkets, and all kinds
of rings.
.
Surely, love must be in the air-
For it is highlighted on the store shelves,
and everywhere.
.
To think-
Red and pink.

As the Mardi Gras trinkets hit the ground-
No hands were readily found.
.
Only feet to claim, the treasure at hand-
You know the stuff that is at the moment, greatly in demand.
.
For if you were to put your hands down-
A big ouchie, might suddenly be found.
.
A stomp here, and a stomp there-
Something that most don’t do well in or fare.
.
The best way to retrieve the trinkets is by the
sheer luck of in the air, or by the feet-
On Mardi Gras day, right there in the street.
.
As the Mardi Gras trinkets hit the ground-
No hands were readily found.

Is to gather trinkets, and catch that one huge bead.
