Most Mondays are the same-

We get up and play the after the weekend game.

.

The sun rises and the coffee is put on-

And then before we know it, it is time to be gone.

.

A ride to work with the freeway bunch-

Arriving at the office, working and then tending to lunch.

.

But for some reason, this Monday to be spent-

Felt  a bit changed, a bit different.

.

Could it be that it followed a  three or four day weekend?

Yes, I think that made it a bit harder, in which to attend.

.

Most Mondays are the same-

We get up and play the after the weekend game.

Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 908 (That Two Car Space Inbetween On The Road)

To drive and leave two car spaces inbetween-

Is an event that is hardly ever seen.

.

Bumper to bumper is how it usually is-

In that serious road driving biz.??

.

For if you leave two car spaces in between-

An awful lot of cutting is generously seen.

.

Mack who has been driving in the left lane,

for a mile-

Will surely squeeze in, quickly, in grand style.

.

And Betty who has to turn suddenly, in order

to get her nails done-

Will dive into that sudden cut, you know the one.

.

And to think that these folks knew 3 miles back

that they were gonna need to be in the right lane-

Smartly so, riding in the left, with so much power to gain.

.

It’s just too bad, when they find no cutting space-

To go down further, to turn around, is what they will face.

.

To drive and leave two car spaces inbetween-

Is an event that is hardly ever seen.

 

Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 861 (The Snow Came)

The snow came-

And, things were no longer the same.

.

I had to dig my way out-

To head, in the direction, of my work route.

.

And, even then it was hard to make way-

For this was no sunshine day.

.

The streets and highways were filled with ice and snow-

Should have stayed home, with nowhere, to go.

.

But, of course, I slowly crept, and headed towards

the destination-

Too much snow, what an abomination.

.

If only everyone else would slow down a bit-

I like safety, I don’t want to get hit.

.

Shouldn’t complain though, for in the summer, we

did sweat-

Really and truly we haven’t gotten over that yet.

.

The snow came-

And, things were no longer the same.
