The first drive-in was opened, back in 1933-
In the Camden County, New Jersey.
.
And, the trend continued all over the land-
With families attending, and the speaker poles
being car manned.
.
The kids would go in their pajamas, and cover
with a blanket-
Sometimes Mom would makes something to bring,
or a concession snack the family would get.
.
The skeeters had to be contended with, as they were
part, of the show-
The heat wasn’t so bad, for the world was used to
it, it was the only thing to know.
.
Didn’t matter what was playing, because it was just
fun to go-
As families lined up, in front of the big screen, row
after row.
