Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose (Monday On The Horizon)

It was the night before Monday, and all through the house-

Everyone was awake, except for the spouse.

For she was up writing, while all else was asleep-

Her words came through better, without noise steep.

And as she wrote, she remembered the long weekend-

Where there was plenty of free time, in which to spend.

But now that time over and a new week would start-

The free time would be put on a shelf, it would come to part.

She too would have to put the writing, to the side-

So that she could sleep and catch her morning ride.

But then again, on another night, when it was really late-

She’d get back to writing once again, she could hardly wait.
