I saw the plane and it was upside down-
The tip, of it was pointing towards the ground.
.
It was steel colored with no name-
Obviously, it alarmed me all the same.
.
The plane was as still as it could be-
No movement at all, as far as I could see.
.
It wasn’t possible for this to be going on-
But, there it was, until it was finally gone.
.
Saw it once more, and closer it was-
Scared me much, just because.
.
Don’t want to see it for a third time-
If I happen to, I’ll write about it in another rhyme.
.
I saw the plane and it was upside down-
The tip, of it was pointing towards the ground.
.

To have an adventure in the backyard-
Is an easy thing to do, not really hard.
.
To catch a bug-
Under the porch rug.
.
And all set-
To catch a butterfly, in a net.
.
Suddenly found-
An active ant mound.
.
A beetle in the tree-
To admire and see.
.
Skeeters can’t bite-
Because parents sprayed just right.
.
Birds in the sky-
Fly low and then fly by.
.
A plane or two-
In the sky, making their way through.
.
And of course, Jeffrey the cat-
With paws up, another bug to bat.
.
To have an adventure in the backyard-
Is an easy thing to do, not really hard.
