1. To see what is ahead.
2. You’re supposed to.
3. To keep from running over something or somebody else for that matter.

There was a woman who always
kept up with her text-
She couldn’t live without the
words, that happened, to come
next.
She’d text while she was washing
clothes-
She’d text while she was picking
her nose.
She’d text while waiting in line-
She’d text while having an ax
to grind.
She’d text while taking a bath-
She’d text in the middle of wrath.
She’d text while watching tv-
She’d text wherever she might be.
She’d text in the middle of school-
For her texting was a golden rule.
She’d text while driving on the road-
Not realizing that she was carrying
on much more than a heavy load.
There was a woman who always
kept up with her text-
Not realizing that in the next few
moments, she may no longer be
alive, to worry about the words,
that might come next.
There was a woman who always
kept up with her text-
She couldn’t live without the
words, that happened, to come
next.

To look all around, and straight ahead-
Instead of being distracted, and ultimately accident led.

1. This.
2. That.
3. Whatever passes by.

Hard to pay attention-
While getting anything done.
