Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose (Ouch)

It’s a known fact that children cringe at the thought of getting a shot. depending on the age the sight

of a needle can bring pure dread.

Many adults do not cherish the idea either. The things just down right sting.

.

I can remember vividly going to a clinic as a young child to get my “before starting school” vaccination. It was one

hard time getting my fingers unpryed

from the door entryway for I was holding on for dear life. I was determined that I was not going in because

I did not want to get any shots.

.

Needless to say I lost the battle and received them anyway. Surely the shots weren’t as bad as I had imagined

but still painful anyway.

.

For the present day shot receivers there may be a little relief at hand. a California plastic surgeon Dr. Keith Denkler,

while searching  for a way to reduce the pain from

injections, came up with the idea to place the needles in a freezer. He had compared the effect to

that of ice packs or anesthetic

sprays used for localized pain. “The ancient anesthetic was to put snow on cuts” he said.

.

In a test that was given to his patients, 77 percent said that the frozen needles caused less pain than the ones at room

temperature. Surely this is good news for diabetics who take the regular injections

and for parents bringing in their children to the doctor.

.

If only the concept had been implemented during my younger days, I might not have had to exert so much energy

whenever I was up for a shot at the doctors office.

.

“The lessening of needle pain can suffice-
Through the ancient idea for the use of ice!”

Ouch! It’s Monday-

No, it’s not. It’s Tuesday, with only four days

left, for another long weekend, to get underway.

Practice It Right-Let’s Be Polite (57)

Best to keep your hands away is the best thing to do-

Cause you know that I’m gonna claim that Mardi Gras bead, on the ground, with my shoe.

Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose ( A Remarkable Change)

To watch one more show-

Is the way to go.

.

To not miss one moment-

Is time well spent.

.

To schedule one’s life around TV-

For some appears the way to be.

.

A lifetime of shows that thrill your heart-

From the beginning, from the start.

.

On the other hand to do something new-

To plan ahead, to follow through.

.

To see life away from the couch-

Might be painful, may cause an ouch.

.

To learn to balance real life and that TV-

Is not so bad, just try it and you will see.

.

To watch one more show-

Is the way to go.
