We knew her best-

As Katherine Chancellor, on the Young and the Restless.

But, before Jeanne Cooper, landed that role-

Many another acting parts did unfold.

She acted in a few movies, not to miss-

That also included Maureen O’Hara, Glen Ford, Henry

Fonda, and Tony Curtis.

.

And, plenty of television appearances, there were to be-

Including Perry Mason, The Big Valley, and her first Emmy

nomination for Ben Casey.

.

She received many awards thoughout the years-

As we followed her soap life, through the happiness and tears.

.

Of course, her battle with Jill Foster Abbott kept us tuning in-

From the beginning, throughout the years, from way back when.

.

In real life, to have a facelift and then to have it written in, to air-

Giving us a bit, of personal, to put it quite fair.

.

For a bit, in 2011, she let Michael Learned take over her role-

But, returned shortly, as was her ultimate goal.

.

In the acting field, she was good at her game-

And, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
