Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 969 (Higher Peach Prices)

The peaches were on the tree-

Sooner or later, to arrive at the grocery,

with a lesser crop, to see.

.

And, thanks to Mother Nature, the

prices will be high-

But, unless you pay, how else can

you get by?

.

The cobbler has to be made, and that

ice cream too-

We’ll weather this storm, we’ll get through.

.

The jellies will be evenly spread-

With that favorite fruit, on the bread.

.

Straight out of the can, or eaten from the

tree-

Peaches are a part of our lives, as they are

quite tasty.

.

We have no say so regarding Mother Nature

for she is the one who has the control-

Leading us to pay for higher peach prices,

that will unfold.

.

I went for a walk, and what did I see?

What the earth, had to give, with all of its beauty.

.

The trees were standing tall and strong-

As I simply carried along.

.

There were flowers growing astray-

A newer one, for a brand new day.

.

The turtles were in the shell-

Guess they don’t like company, as

far as I can tell.

.

Little bugs crawling everywhere-

In the grass, on the rocks that were bare.

.

Sometimes we take this all for granted,

as we travel along-

To hear the birds, in full song.

.

Doesn’t take an electronic gadget, to

enjoy Mother Nature-

Been here forever, and in the future

will endure.

.

Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 952 (An Addition To That Field Of Wildflowers)

Looking into the field, we could see-

That it was filled with wildflowers, and so pretty.

.

It was springtime, and we were on route-

Hunting for more fields, without a doubt.

.

For at this time, of the year, Mother Nature is kind-

And, much more beauty is what we would find.

.

Families stopped along the roadside, and putting their

children, in mid center-

Adding beauty, to beauty, causing a wondrous stir.

.

Looking into the field, we could see-

That it was filled with wildflowers, and so pretty.

.

 

Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 631 (Drought Out)

The tree stood for many a year-

It’s strength was bright and clear.

.

And, then one day its demise was brought about-

The land had changed due to the drought.

.

The leaves began to get brittle-

To shrink up, until they were little.

.

A drink of water would surely do-

But, Mother Nature did not follow through.

.

The bark began to crack-

Even the animials who lived within

began to take track.

.

Packing up their bags, to a brand new

place-

Time was funning out, this was one

nature race.

.

No more could it stand, there was no more

stall-

The tree with no more strength had to fall.

.

The tree stood for many a year-

It’s strength was bright and clear.

Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 944 (A Bit Too Early)

I put that sweater and coat away-

On one spring balmy day.

.

It had been used off and on-

But, now put away, for the chilly weather was gone.

.

Until this morning, when Mother Nature pulled a

seasonal tease-

And, put the area, in a sudden quick freeze.

.

Not a long one, I might say-

But, you can bet, that the sweater/and or coat

came back out again today.

.

I put that sweater and coat away-

On one spring balmy day.
