There was a boy who walked to school-
Like the rest, of the children, to learn the golden rule.
.
And, the one thing that he remembered most was
what he would get-
Everyday, for lunch, his stepmother fixed him a
syrup drenched biscuit.
.
She could have made him something else, with
a bit, of variety-
But, when he opened his lunch sack, the same
old same is all that he would see.
.
He looked at the other children’s lunches, and
they looked so much more tasty-
Not anything elaborate, but, it was so obvious to see.
.
Had his real mother been alive, time might have been
spent-
Making his lunch, with something different.
.
Throughout his life, he tried to phase the bad
feelings out-
But, as he got older, they took their own in and out route.
.
There was a boy, who walked to school-
Like the rest of the children, to learn the golden rule.
