If we’re not comfortable, we demand ease-
We do for ourselves, we progress with self please.

If things are not going our way-
We let everyone know, that very day.

If an incident doesn’t suit us well-
We can’t be quiet about it, we must tell.

We have to have our 15 minute of fame, a
great accomplishment-
Considered in this day and time, an act well
spent.

But, wait a minute, there is someone else in grief-
To focus on another human being, would it mean
turning over a new leaf?

But, getting through the day, is

so much easier to do.

Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 563 (Time Passed Without Her Knowing)

The old woman had to wonder-
If she had been dealt a wrongful blunder.

For she did not feel so old-
She was brave and she was bold.
.
She loved to walk the whole neighborhood
through-
As a matter, of fact, it was her favorite thing
to do.
.
She still loved to bake, and always have
handy-
Plenty, of sweets, for the grandchildren,
especially candy.
.
She didn’t feel a bit old, on most days-
As she went about her youthful ways.
.
But, when she looked in the mirror, something
did not look quite right-
There were quite a few wrinkles, and her black
hair had turned white.
.
She just had to wonder, how it could be-
That she had just turned 90.
.
Time had passed, without her knowing-
As her youthful love, for life had continued
growing.

The old woman had to wonder-
If she had been dealt a wrongful blunder.
