Tom the Turkey didn’t like being called that-
He thought it was boring, he thought it was old hat.
.
Maybe he could be called John-
But that thought was suddenly gone.
.
Or he would rather be called Chris-
But he quickly crossed that off of the list.
.
Really and truly he liked the name of Matthew-
But he ended up discarding that one too.
.
As Tom the Turkey ran through names, on a long list-
He suddenly realized that there was one he had missed.
.
The name that he was born with was the one he really like best-
Yes, Tom the Turkey’s birth name had finally passed the test.
.
Tom the Turkey didn’t like being called that-
He thought it was boring, he thought it was old hat.
