To fill an Easter basket-
To get as many eggs as one can get.
.
The beeping eggs guide the way-
To stay on path, to limit the stray.
.
To hear a beep, and then head over there-
This event was put on by loving folks who care.
.
For I cannot see, but, I can hear the sound-
Many, many eggs, will be heard and found.
.
My basket is heavy, as I walk away-
I’m just a child enjoying a glorious day.
.
To fill an Easter basket-
To get as many eggs as one can get.
.

1. A frog with five or six legs.
2. Certain gems.
3. Wearing a coat on an Easter egg hunt.
==========================================
Not used to it being cold-
As the Easter eggs are rolled.

The children went over to the picnic table-
And looked on top, as best as they were able.
.
There was a special item that they were looking for-
They knew it had to be there, it could not be bought at the store.
.
They looked over the watermelon, they looked over the potato chips-
They looked under the tablecloth, they looked through all of the dips.
.
And suddenly one of the children let out a yell-
The intended items had been found, for everyone could tell.
.
It was Grandmother’s pie, and the children were so glad that it was found-
Like finding treasures, and with happy faces they all gathered around.
.
One slice apiece and they were filled with delight-
Thanks to Grandmother, the picnic had turned out just right.
.
The children went over to the picnic table-
And looked on top, as best as they were able.

TO BE THANKFUL, THAT PREPARING THANKSGIVING DINNER IS EASIER TODAY-
THAN IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO, BACK IN THE DAY.
***
THE CORN COMES STRAIGHT, OUT OF THE CAN-
NO SCHUCKING HERE, NOT MUCH WORK, AT HAND.
***
THE TURKEY IS BOUGHT AT THE STORE-
HAVING TO GO OUT AND HUNT FOR IT, WELL, THAT IS NO MORE.
***
THE GREEN BEANS ARE HANDY TOO-
NOT PICKED OUT OF THE GARDEN, LIKE THE RELATIVES USED TO.
***
NO CRACKING AND PICKING THE PECAN-
COMING PRE-PICKED, THOSE DAYS ARE CERTAINLY GONE.
***
NO FLOUR TO PRESS AND UNFOLD-
FOR WE HAVE INSTANT BISCUIT, AND THE ROLL.
***
NO MORE TAKING A TURN-
THE BUTTER COMES IN STICKS, THERE IS NO MORE CHURN.
***
NO HIKING, IN THE WOODS, AMONG THE MOSS-
FOR WE USE JELLIED CRANBERRY SAUCE.
***
LIFE MAY BE EASIER, BUT, FOR ONE MORE TASTE, OF GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GRANDMOTHER’S HOMEMADE PIE-
I’D LET THE EASY GO, AND GIVE THE ABOVE A TRY.
