The snow covered the ground-
All over, it could be found.
.
It was as white as it could be-
It tended to inspire much poetry.
.
It also put the lights out-
Along the byway and along the route.
.
It put other things on hold-
At least that is what I’ve been told.
.
For here near the Gulf, there is no snow-
Although the yearning, for it does grow.
.
The snow covered the ground-
All over, it could be found.

Modern day houses found-
Much better than old time tents, on a hard cold ground.

1. Heat.
2. Low blood pressure.
3. Startled.
===========================
The famous fainting goats, of
Marshall County, Tennessee-
Startle them, and suddenly, on
the ground, they happen to be.

Jonathan went outside, and
found his mailbox down-
It had purposely been mowed,
to the ground.
.
The pole was out of the ground,
and it lay, on the side-
Obviously, some teenagers,
had gone, for a ride.
.
It was rude, and made Jonathan
sad-
And, the more he thought about
it, well, it made him mad.
.
How could teenagers do such a thing?
Did they realize the destruction, that
this act would bring?
.
And, then all of a sudden, he remembered
when he was young-
And, by his crowd, the same song, had
been sung.
.
Mr. Werter’s mailbox, was knocked down by
Jonathan and his friends-
Not for any reason, not for any message, to
send.
.
It was just something to do-
And, they enjoyed it through and through.
.
Now with shame Jonathan, didn’t think it
was so funny, after all-
When they ran over Mr. Werter’s mailbox,
and made it fall.
.
Jonathan went outside, and
found his mailbox down-
It had purposely been mowed,
to the ground.
