I found-
A penny on the ground.
.
I saw a child smile-
In grand style.
.
I talked with a friend-
Who always has a shoulder to lend.
.
The car started, and the hot water
heater ran well-
I sat and drank a delicious cup of coffee,
for a spell.
.
My daughter had a great day at school-
We’re both happy, now that the weekend will rule.
.
The cat and dog were glad to see me when I came
home-
The squirrels made their noises, while they were in
full roam.
.
I looked around and thought about what had happened
and what I had seen-
My goodness, today just happened to be Friday the
thirteen.
.
No bad luck, or no funny stuff going on-
As the neighborhood children played on the lawn.
.
I found-
A penny, on the ground.

To take flight-
To simply write.
.
To unload the brain-
To let the words rain.
.
To cause a stir-
To put it on paper.
.
To read about what is going round-
To supplement the words that are found.
.
To get many a view-
For a rounded out opinion, to acrue.
.
To take flight-
To simply write.
