There was something going on that I had to keep out-

So buying many locks was the given route.

I put locks on the windows and locks on the doors-

I put locks in the attic, I double nailed the floors.

I put cameras and locks in the overstuffed kitchen-

I double checked them all over and over again.

.

I put locks on the inside as well as the outside-

I put many more that I could find on the inside.

But the problem is that what I wanted to keep away-

I’d still have to confront on some upcoming day.

.

For what I was trying to lock out was not what I thought-

A delusion is what I had eventually bought.

.

For what I was running from was really me-

And until I realized that fact I’d never be free.

.

In the meantime another lock to install-

Perhaps on that door or against that wall.

.

There was something going on that I had to keep out-
