Three was a grouchy man, to see-

For he was miserable, he didn’t have any a/c.

.

It had gone out during the night-

And, gave the man, an awful fright.

.

What was he to do, as he did not want to pay, an extra fee-

For the a/c man, to come out, and look, he knew that they didn’t do it for free.

.

He then tried to remember, how it was back in the old days-

Before a/c, when things were done, in so many different ways.

.

He remembered the neighbors, all gathering on the porch-

Waiting for the bedrooms, to cool off, for they did feel a bit, of scorch.

.

And, then when it was time, to go in-

They’d put on that old fan, to get some wind.

.

He hadn’t thought, of that old fan, in forever-

He’d get it out, yes, that would be his endeavor.

.

It wasn’t like the a/c , that he was used to-

But, for the rest, of the night, it would get him through.

.

It sticks around, there is not much flight.

The sun does serve us well-

Even at times, when it appears to be

in over swell.

Buttered popcorn, at a baseball game is a must-

To enjoy the game, and at the same time,

eat something that is delicious.

You can spot the stuff, all over the stadium-

Fans munching the stuff, yum yum.

.

But, who would have ever thought that

it might get in the way?

Like it did at the Astros game, yesterday.

.

A ball trying to be caught, and a fan spilling

popcorn, colliding at the same spot-

An unusual moment in time, is what

we’ve got.

Bet he’ll show it to every friend he can.
