Grandmother always talks nice-
To talk in foul language, she would think twice.
.
For it is not her natural way-
To utter, that stuff, on any given day.
.
But, stick her in the midst of traffic-
And, a few surprises, one might get.
.
The kind, of language that can be heard-
Didn’t even know that Grandmother knew that word.
.,
Never, ever, did we ever dream-
Oh, well, guess Grandmother is just blowing off steam.
.
Grandmother always talks nice-
To talk in foul language, she would think twice.

I dreamed of sleeping late-
It was fun, it was great.
.
I dreamed of wishing-
That I had caught a big whale, while fishing.
.
I dreamed of lazy summer days-
With nothing, to do, in so many ways.
.
I dreamed of much leisure time-
Reading a book, or writing some rhyme.
.
And, when that alarm clock traveled through my head-
I jumped out of bed, for there was one more week,
of school, left ahead.
.
I dreamed of sleeping late-
It was fun, it was great.

I woke up and went into the yard-
I walked around and looked real hard.
.
There were no eggs to be found-
None at all were on the ground.
.
As I looked around in a gentle breeze-
There we no eggs in the tree.
.
Nor were there any behind the tree-
What could be going on? How could this be?
.
With my empty basket, I headed back inside-
I was sad, and hurt was my personal pride.
.
The Easter Bunny must have skipped my place-
It was so grim, and so hard to face.
.
And then suddenly I woke up from this nightmare-
I went outside, and much better did I fare.
.
I woke up and went into the yard-
I walked around and looked real hard.
