1. Work out in the sun, all day.

3. Drink coffee, when he got home.

An experienced, learned tool-

To end the day, to ward away the heat, to

eventually get cool.

The season is now yellow-

Summer days, that are mellow.

All dressed nice and neat-

In the midst, of much heat.

We will use whatever tool-

To attempt, to try and keep cool.

Whether it be A/C or a nearby pool-

The color, of yellow, does now rule.

And, of course, there will come a time-

When about autumn, there will be much rhyme.

.

But, in the meantime, the yellow sun will be in our face-

As we all look, for that shaded space.

That ice place-
Was once an important space.

For before A/C, it played its role-
And, many hung out there, is
what we’ve been told.
.
To cool off, and have a drink too-
With so much heat, this was the
activity, to do.
.
Back then, a huge chunk, of ice-
To bring home, was so nice.
.
The local ice house, was the place,
of the day-
Until finally, that A/C, made its
way.
.
A few, of them, are still alive-
But not as many, with less drive.
.
That ice place-
Was once an important space.

2. Have that “new” haircut.

The weather was just right-

Not too cool, not too hot,

right on site.

Short sleeves and shorts-

Was the thing to sport.

And, then all of a sudden things

changed-

Somehow or another the weather

was re-arranged.

.

A cool front blew in and the wind

was of great size-

Wasn’t planning for this, it was a

surprise.

.

Luckily, I had that sweater in the car-

That I always keep close, not too far.

.

For it came in handy, on this sudden

cold cold day-

As soon as I felt the chill, I put it on

right away.

.

The weather was just right-

Not too cool, not too hot,

right on site.
