I got up this morning, in full complain-
For starting the day was hard, it was downright insane.
.
First I had to go out and milk the cow-
And, while collecting the eggs, to the chickens, I gave a bow.
.
While cooking the bacon, I cried real hard-
For I knew that Mamoo, the pig, was no longer in the yard.
.
I ironed my dress, until all the wrinkles were gone-
And, all of the above was done, before the break of dawn.
.
Fooled you, of course, for it did once happen this way-
But, not for me, this morining, in the modern day.
.
Reality is that the coffee was already made-
At the drive thru, with the muffin, sausage, and egg, topgrade.
.
I didn’t meet that oinker, either, that met its’ demise-
Don’t have an inkling of a name, color, or size.
.
And, that clothing, well, I stopped at the cleaner’s yesterday-
All done up for me, well, what else can I say?
.
I got up this morning, in full complain-
For the day was hard, it was downright insane.
