He walked through the forest and what he saw-

Made him feel  overwhelmed, and he was filled with awe.

The birds sang in the trees-

His face was felt by the breeze.

He saw a squirrel scamper by-

He saw an eagle take off and fly.

He noticed the bugs that appeared everywhere-

Some were strange looking, but he did not care.

For he was seeing the forest, and taking it all in-

For the very first time, not like way back when.

.

For he was now an old man, and had passed the

forest, in the past without any thought-

Now the true meanings of nature is what he

sought.
