The freshly grown clovers, in the yard, were seen-
They were a beautiful nature colored green.
.
And as the children picked them, and also ran through-
They knew that this was a grand thing to do.
.
Most of the plants had leaves times three-
As far as all of the children could see.
.
Until, one child found one with four-
This kept them all busy, as they looked for more.
.
This only lasted for a little while though-
For there would come the time, no more would it be so.
.
For they had been warned of the stickers that would grow-
Hidden within the leaves that would not show.
.
Of course, children at one time or another would learn the hard way-
Running into sudden foot pain, what else could one possibly say?
.
