way back when-
Was none other than Benjamin
Franklin.

It was 1775, and the mail, was
a big event-
Whether it being received or sent.
.
And, through the years, the service
had grown-
Post offices, throughout the land,
set the tone.
.
So many looked forward to a letter
from a loved one-
And, back then, it may have been
the way, to get the bill paying done.
.
But, then came the internet, and things
began to change-
The mail began to drop, it was in rearrange.
.
Correspondance and bill paying are now
done online-
Not too much letter writing, can we find.
.
This week we will be losing 3600 post
offices, yes, they will be gone-
With a possible case, of less days, for
the mail, to be delivered, in the box,
on the lawn.
.
11 percent, of the buildings, that used
to be, as busy as a bee-
Will no longer be a part, of our society.
.
Modern technology, could be said to
be the blame-
But, we also realize that things,
throughout time, cannot stay the same.

require, while you are on holiday.

enjoy the holiday too-

For we know that it is all about you.

The New That Happened To Unfold-From The Old # 279

Back in the old days, thanks to that blue law-
Not much alcohol, was sold before church on
Sundays, at least from what we saw.

Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 926 (Six Other Days To Buy)

The car on the lot, was shining so bright-

It was the one I wanted, for it would serve me just right.

I could picture myself in it, on the street-

Blowing the A/C, keeping away the heat.

.

And, the color was a favorite of mine-

The perfect car, I no longer had to find.

.

I could buy it now, and be on my way-

But, then all of a sudden I realized that it was Sunday.

.

I could have my nails done, or go buy anything else

that I might need-

But, the car lot is closed on Sundays, my anxiety had

much, on which to feed.

.

On the other hand, it used to be where Sunday was

a day of rest-

Go figure, I have six other days, to enjoy that joy

ride test.

.

At least the car salesmen can count on an off day-

Maybe to spend the day with the family, in their

own chosen way?

.
