Three Things We Used To Do On Sundays (2013)

1. Go to church.

2. Go fishing.

3. Spend time with the family.

===========================

It was a day, of rest-

Now we want everything open,

including a possible new car test.

Grandma didn’t want to stop
driving the car-
Even though she didn’t drive
very far.

Just a little trip to the store
and back-
Or to the hamburger place
to get a big mac.

And once a week to church
to pray-
Or to the park, on a sunny
day.

Yes, someone else could
take her, but she wanted
to stay independent-
To drive herself, wherever
she went.

Grandma didn’t want to
stop driving the car-
Even though she didn’t
drive very far.

The New That Happened To Unfold-From The Old # 279

Back in the old days, thanks to that blue law-

self checkout-
As they do not provide personal
service, on your way out.
