A cool brisk walk-
With many new ideas and a lot of talk.

I left my sweater at home-
Before I headed out, for my city roam.
.
Everything was okay, until the temp
began to drop-
With quite a chill, that I could not stop.
.
First the goosebumps came-
And, then the comfortable was not the same.
.
The wind began to pick up, and I began to shake-
A little sleepy before I left, but now I was wide awake.
.
Dreams, of those sweaters, that I had left behind-
In reality, there were none, in my reach, to find.
.
Never again would I leave the house, without my
sweater, to keep me warm-
To keep me comfortable, to keep me from harm.
.
I left my sweater at home-
Before I headed out, for my city roam.

This time of the year, without a doubt-
Is when the weather gets a bit cooler,
and you know that someday in the future,
you will be getting that sweater out.
