Three Reasons To Have Dirty Looking Feet (2013)

Off to school, we used to go-

Barefooted or with shoes, all in a row.

There were no buses or cars, to take us

there-

Actually, by foot, we went everywhere.

And, when the school bell rang, and it

was time to go home-

Off on foot again, we’d head that direction,

with much forest to roam.

We’d pass the stream, in which we threw

rocks-

There was no worrying about having wet

socks.

We come across a turtle or two-

And, a rabbit and a deer, before we were

through.

.

We took our time, but had to be home

before-

It was time to eat, and to complete

the evening chore.
