Let Us Not Forget

Let us not forget

That before Clinton’s impeachment it was already set,

In the form of the President testifying-

Not like the present one simply defying.

Along with witnesses and documents none to net.

Details Released

A moment in history to review
Pence stating that killing intel too sensitive to accrue,
For all wanted to know the reason why-
Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani had to
immediately die.
Of course last night at rally POTUS came through.

A “Living” White Elephant In the Rally Room

A word not to hear or see

At that Conservative Christian rally,

Regarding the act to sign up your family-

Where they readily will need to be.

Fighting in the Middle East eventually.
(Of course minus any Trumps)

Resolution Noises

Hungry folks over there
Hungry folks everywhere,
All of a sudden the stomach growl-
Done on purpose not to cry foul.
As we are cut calories with room to spare.

From The Old To The New

Let it ring clear

This is the last day of the year,

A day done so many other times-

In both real life and depicted in rhyme.

To put the present year today into arrears.

Quick Moving

It seems like yesterday
When the new year was on the way,
For the year 2019 and now here we are-
Getting ready for 2020 to star.
A brand new calendar to come into play.

It had not rained in quite a while

At least not in such grand style,

Just a drop here and there-

Now puddles appear everywhere.

A dry ground with much moisture to gain.

A great reputation
Is one big sensation,
A life that has roared-
That has been lived all above board.
Minus that brushing under the rug that was done.

Building That Wall

Right now to visit that construction of wall

Without a bit of stall-

The one that was built in the year 2000-

With plans to replace in 2009 on hand.

To replace this two-mile section was really who’s call?

Turning 100 Years Old

To land on American soil from Russia, was the 5-year old-

With his immigrant family, much happiness did happen to take hold.

Leaving behind those who had tormented his family-

His mother often said God Bless America, with much emotion to be.

In 1918 he became a naturalized citizen, served in the military, and

eventually this song was to unfold.

“God Bless America”
By Irving Berlin

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free.
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair, as we
raise our voices in a solemn prayer.

God Bless America, land that I love.
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam.
God Bless America, my home sweet home.
God Bless America, my home sweet home.
