The hurricane was coming and some did not want to leave, but
they simply had to. They remembered history and knew that their
lives could be in danger.
The hurricane party in Biloxi where after Camille the hotel was
gone along with those who enjoyed their last party. The person
who called near Galveston Island and said that they wished they
hadn’t stayed as Ike approached. Sadly, they were never heard
from again.
Today we have the technology and the knowledge to know that
something serious is heading our way. It didn’t work out for
those who perished in Galveston during the Storm of 1900.
