Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 669 (Time To Pass It On)

Rosalie remembered when-

The years she worked out, in the garden.

.

She planted flowers, she planted the seed-

She planted everything, that her garden

did need.

.

And each spring, she would receive a reward-

For all of that work, that had been a pleasure,

not a bit hard.

.

But, as the years, begin to pass by-

It was harder to get to the garden, but she

did try.

.

The day came when she could no longer

do, what she used to do-

So through her bedroom window, she

watched her granddaughter follow through.

.

Her granddaughter picked the weeds and

tended to the garden overall-

Beginning in spring, all the way to the fall.

.

Rosalie remembered when-

The years she worked out in the garden.
