To choose a candy, there are so many picks-

Depending on my mood, I may settle, for a Ferrero Rocher, or a Twix.

Perhaps, I will choose a Milky Way-

A Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, on another day.

A Butterfingers comes to mind, when the sweet

tooth creeps-

On the other hand, so does a Peeps.

There comes that moment, when I wish, I wish-

To go on ahead, and bring out the Swedish Fish.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that Jelly Belly Beans-

Are not just for the younger set, not just for the teens.

Sour Patch Kids, are also part. of my style-

Until that moment, when Junior Mints are

enjoyed, for a while.

There comes the time, when I yearn for a Starburst-

Or into the middle, of a Snickers, I am fully immersed.

Twizzlers to chew, and Reese’s Pieces, one by one-

A bite, of a Three Musketeers, and we’re about done.

But, wait, before I leave the candy store-

Give me a KitKat, just one bite more.
