Modern Mother Goose-On The Loose # 405 (Blinking Lights During Thanksgiving Dinner)

The Christmas tree was out-
A bit early, no doubt.
.
For it was still November-
And, if I’m correct, we still
had Thanksgiving, to remember.
.
The turkey that was supposed
to be dressed-
Had not yet, been addressed.
.
But, still, out came that tree-
So beautiful and shiny.
.
It was supposed to be, that
first in the ranks-
The families gather, to give
much thanks.
.
It seems so strange-
For things to be rushed,
for things to change.
.
I guess that nowadays, it
would be considered a winner-
For those Christmas lights to
be blinking, while eating
Thanksgiving dinner.
.
