Just on a whim-
We all went for a swim.

Off, to the lake we went-
And, that is where the whole
day was spent.
.
The summer does rule-
When swimming, in a lake, that is so cool.
.
The heat does bear down-
But, relief, with a quick jump in
can be found.
.
Of course, we threw together a picnic too-
To take care, of the hunger, for the whole crew.
.
We could have planned, for this event-
But, then again, the surprise would have been spent.
.
To just jump in the car, and head towards the lake-
A great family fun day, this does make.
